Video Transcript for “Faster Cutting & Squaring of Quilt Blocks”

As Quilt with Marci Baker’s newest quilting notion, On the Dot re-positional markers go on top of the ruler to mark and draw your eye to an important point that you might need to find over and over again.  On the Dot is especially useful when squaring and cutting quilt blocks.

So let’s take a look at how this works. We are going to place them where we need to line up a ruler with a specific point or points on our fabric.

Here I have one of the On the Dots at the center point and the circle in the middle is like a bulls eye and the four corners I’m going to use like cross hairs. Next, I will line this up and know that I’m in the right place. Here I have 1 and 7/8th lined up and I don’t want to have to find that number every single time. So once I’ve lined up here I can quickly position and check that I have the best fit and I’m ready to trim that up.

On the Dot is designed from three colors of high quality vinyl to be reusable and very durable.  You simply peel them off, re-position them, use them over and over.  If they get dirty and begin to lose their ability to stick, you simply wash them off with water and they will  be just like new.  Our goal here at Quilt with Marci Baker is to help you succeed in your quilting, QTools On the Dot can help you do just that by simplifying the squaring and cutting process!

Thanks for watching, and Enjoy Your Quilting!
